OLIVE

In a tale of love distorted by time and memory, OLIVE invites us into the world of Sam and his grandmother who suffers from memory loss. Their reality begins to crumble when Sam discovers an ID stating he was born in 1932.

ABOUT THE FILM

OLIVE is a psychological drama that follows the life of Sam and Marie, an elderly couple coping with the effects of Alzheimer’s disease. Believing he is back in the 1950s, Sam confuses his wife, Marie, for his grandmother; meanwhile, Marie follows their doctor’s orders and plays into his delusions to avoid conflict. But how long can this last?

It’s a story of true love: “for better or for worse” - a truthful depiction of the emotionally-conflicted experience of caring for a chronically sick loved one alone.

COMING SPRING 2025

We began development for OLIVE in the fall of 2023. From reviewing clinical studies to reading first hand accounts from Alzheimer’s patients and their caregivers, we did extensive research to finalize the script. We plan on starting pre-production mid-2024 and starting production in the winter of 2024, with a goal of finalizing the film for a spring 2025 release.
